Last month, horror metal band Ice Nine Kills (INK) announced their music collaboration for the highly anticipated horror sequel, Terrifier 3, with a new single “A Work of Art” accompanied by a music video. The song pays homage to the beloved slasher franchise and is featured in Terrifier 3, which opens in theaters nationwide on October 11.
The music video, which is also out today, stars the franchise’s David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown. Directed and written once again by Damien Leone, Terrifier 3 follows Art the Clown as he unleashes chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
The 7 minute long music video is directed by longtime Ice Nine Kills collaborator Jensen Noen and stars Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier), Leah Voysey (Terrifier 2), Sirius XM’s Jose Mangin and Vincent Rockwell, Richard Christy (Drummer for Death, Control Denied, and Charred Walls of the Damned), and System Of A Down’s Shavo Odadjian.
We were joined on the Popternative show by INK frontman Spencer Charnas to discuss the new music collaboration and what went into the production of the music video. Spencer also tells us that there is even more content for fans to look forward to:
“We have an extended cut of this video which actually runs for 14 minutes. That part wont be in the theater with the film because of running time, but it will be [available] once the video comes out online. There’s a whole additional 7 minutes which sort of sets up the next phase of the INK cinematic universe and there’s some really exciting cameos in that portion that I can’t wait for people to see.“
