Katie Douglas joined us back on the Popternative show to discuss season 2 of the hit Netflix teen drama series Ginny & Georgia which premiered on January 5th. The coming-of-age series portrays the complex relationship between Ginny, played by Antonia Gentry, and her mother Georgia, played by Brianne Howey. Katie plays Abby who is part of Ginny’s circle of friends, but season 1 left both her and Ginny on the outs with friends Maxine and Norah.

Season 2 also stars Diesel La Torraca, Jennifer Robertson, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter, Raymond AblackChelsea Clark, Nathan Mitchell, Sabrina Grdevich, Humberly GonzalezMason Temple, Nikki Roumel, Tameka Griffiths, Rebecca Ablack, Aaron Ashmore, Daniel Beirne, and Alex Mallari Jr.

In our interview, Katie discusses Abby’s character arc this season: “a lot of people love the character because she’s very, very flawed and not perfect, and in season 2 I definitely wanted to see her come into her own a little bit more and find something special about herself.” She also talks about getting back to set for the new season and picking up where they left off.
