We were recently joined on the Popternative show by Alisha Weir and Charlie Hodson-Prior who star in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical which is now streaming worldwide on Netflix. In the interview, Charlie Hodson-Prior who plays Bruce broke down a very notable scene. He discusses the iconic scene involving his character devouring a gigantic chocolate cake.

Most of it was real but some of it wasn’t,” Charlie stated in regards to eating the chocolate cake for the scene. This was a scene he describes as one where he did not have to think much about it and he just got to simply eat a “nice” cake.
