We had the pleasure of chatting with Japanese horror icon and filmmaker Takashi Shimizu about his newest film, Howling Village. Shimizu is known for many of his amazing horror films including the critically acclaimed The Grudge films.
Howling Village Official Synopsis
After her brother goes missing, Kanade, a young psychologist visits his last known location, an infamous haunted and cursed site known as ‘Howling Village’ to investigate his disappearance.Her investigation reveals that the village’s mysteries are connected to her family and works to uncover her family’s dark history.
Howling Village will be available in select theaters August 13, 2021, on demand August 17, 2021 and on Blu-Ray September 14, 2021. In the interview, Shimizu talks about his goals with Howling Village and the current landscape of horror movies and culture.
