We were ecstatic to have the chance to talk with British actor Phil Dunster on the Popternative show. The England-native is currently starring as Jamie Tartt in one of Apple TV+’s hottest shows right now, Ted Lasso. Season 2 recently premiered on July 23, 2021. In our interview, we talk about the show’s reception, his acting career and much more!
In Ted Lasso, Phil brings to life the very polarizing soccer superstar Jamie Tartt. When asked about playing that character, Phil jokingly says “It comes so easily to me, man. I think having a punch-able face is something I was born with.” Without trying to give away any spoilers, Phil also speaks briefly about Jamie Tartt’s character development this season, “We see him entering these emotional conversations that we haven’t done before.”
