We were joined on the Popternative show by Arturo Castro who can be seen as one of the “Tech bros” in the dark comedy horror/thriller film The Menu. Directed by Mark Mylod, it also stars Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Reed Birney, Judith Light, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Rob Yang, Mark St. Cyr, and John Leguizamo.

In our interview, Arturo discusses the elements of horror in The Menu which don’t rely on traditional jump scares and what it was like working with the incredible cast. We asked him about the scene where his character tries to escape by attempting to break the glass (photo below) and how many takes it took. Arturo also goes into detail about the delicious food both on and off camera.
