6 New Horror Movies to Watch in April 2026
April is bringing a new wave of horror to screens, with everything from psychological mind-benders to creature features and survival thrillers. The month begins with the slasher Faces of Death, a remake of the 1978 film by John Alan Schwartz, starring Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Aaron Holliday, Jermaine Fowler, and Charli XCX. Also arriving on the same day is Exit 8, a Japanese psychological thriller based on the indie hit game by KOTAKE CREATE, alongside the Canadian found-footage chiller Hunting Matthew Nichols.
If creature chaos is more your speed, Netflix drops the shark thriller Thrash on April 10, led by Phoebe Dynevor, Djimon Hounsou, and Whitney Peak, while monster fans can also look out for The Yeti. And then there is Lee Cronin’s highly anticipated The Mummy, a brand-new take completely separate from previous franchise iterations.
