Netflix today revealed the official trailer for the upcoming docuseries, Captains of The World, premiering December 30th, 2023. Following the co-produced series Captains, which followed players throughout qualification for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Netflix and FIFA+ have partnered once again on a new series.
The new docuseries goes behind the scenes at the tournament and explores one of the greatest sporting spectacles of all time. Featuring behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with captains, prominent players, coaches and more, this docuseries revisits the tragedies and triumphs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The 6 episode docuseries is directed by Ben Turner (Among the Stars) and Gabe Turner (Hitsville: The Making of Motown) and offers exclusive access to all 32 teams as they fight for football glory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
