We were joined on the Popternative show by director Maureen Bharoocha (Golden Arm) and actors Kate Flannery (The Office), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever), and Connor Kalopsis (The Grinder) to discuss their new film, The Prank which was released in theaters March 15th.
The high school dark comedy stars 90-year-old legend Rita Moreno (West Side Story) as ruthless physics teacher Mrs. Wheeler, and also stars Keith David (Hazbin Hotel), Meredith Salenger (Lake Placid), Jonathan Kimmel (Crank Yankers), Nathan Janak (Drama Club), Betsy Sodaro (Golden Arm), and Romel De Silva (He’s All That).
Written by Becca Flinn-White (Prey for the Devil) and Zak White (Dealership), the logline for The Prank reads: “Ben, and his slacker friend, Tanner play a prank on their high school physics professor when she fails them on a test. They teach the imperious, demanding instructor a lesson by falsely accusing her of the murder of a missing student on social media.”
