Netflix today released a teaser trailer and new photos for the upcoming drama, Maestro chronicling the lifelong relationship between American conductor Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. Written by Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born, Silver Linings Playbook) and Josh Singer (First Man, The Post), and directed by Cooper, Maestro is described as “a love letter to life and art” and “an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.” Cooper and Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, An Education) star as Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein, respectively.

Martin Scorsese (Killers of the Flower Moon, The Irishman), Bradley Cooper, Steven Spielberg (The Fabelmans, West Side Story) Fred Berner (Law & Order, Pollock), Amy Durning (Law & Order: Organized Crime, The Catch), and Kristie Macosko Krieger (West Side Story, Lincoln) serve as producers, with Carla Raij (The Fabelmans, West Side Story), Josh Singer, Bobby Wilhelm (A Star is Born, Bolden), Weston Middleton (A Star is Born, Limitless), and Tracey Landon (The Pale Blue Eye, Amsterdam) as executive producers.

Maestro‘s cast also includes Matt Bomer (The Sinner, White Collar), Maya Hawke (Asteroid City, Stranger Things), Sarah Silverman (Battle of the Sexes, Bob’s Burgers), Josh Hamilton (The Walking Dead, Eighth Grade), Scott Ellis (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Weeds), Gideon Glick (The Pale Blue Eye, American Horror Story), Sam Nivola (Eileen, White Noise), Alexa Swinton (Old, Emergence), and Miriam Shor (Younger, The Americans).

Maestro will be released in select theaters on November 22nd and on Netflix on December 20th.
