We were joined on the Popternative show by directors Gigi Saul Guerrero (Bingo Hell, Culture Shock) and Natasha Kermani (Lucky, Imitation Girl) to discuss their film V/H/S/85, the next installment of the horror found footage anthology franchise, V/H/S/. It premiered October 6th on Shudder and takes us back to the 80s with “with nightmarish newscasts and disturbing home video to create a surreal, analog mashup of the forgotten 80s.” V/H/S/85 is also directed by David Bruckner (Hellraiser, The Night House), Scott Derrickson (The Black Phone, Sinister), and Mike Nelson (Wrong Turn, The Domestics).

The cast includes Jordan Belfi, Freddy Rodriguez, James Ransone, Dani Deetté, Rolando Davila-Beltran, Justen Jones, Marcio Moreno, Ari Gallegos, Forrest Hartl, Duffy McManus, Eric Pierson, Felipe de Lara, Tom Reed, and Vivian Morse.

In our interviews, Gigi and Natasha discuss being part of the popular found footage horror genre, the premise of each of their segments in V/H/S/85, directing in the horror genre, and more.

Watch the conversations with Gigi Saul Guerrero and Natasha Kermani below.

V/H/S/85 is streaming on Shudder.
