Netflix‘s steamy drama series Sex/Life is back with season 2 which premieres on March 2nd on the streaming platform. The first season premiered on June 25th, 2021 with 8 episodes and stars Sarah Shahi as Billie Connelly, Mike Vogel as Cooper Connelly, Adam Demos as Brad Simon, and Margaret Odette as Sasha Snow. Based on the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton, the series follows a “love triangle between a woman, her husband, and her past that takes a provocative new look at female identity and desire.”
Season one introduced viewers to housewife Billie Connelly and her husband Cooper Connelly who live in suburbia with their young kids. Feeling unfulfilled, Billie begins to reminisce through journal entries her relationship with her ex Brad and their past sexual encounters. We are shown in flashbacks how they met, why they ended up breaking things off, and her friendship with Sasha. Through this processs she realizes she is sexually unsatisfied with her husband, and things get dramatic when he finds and reads Billie’s journal. Season one ended with a cliffhanger and the fate of Billie’s marriage up in the air.
