We were joined on the Popternative show by Swedish actress Nikita Uggla who plays Felice in the globally popular Swedish teen drama series Young Royals. The coming-of-age series returned for its second season on November 1st on Netflix with all 6 episodes. The series, which premiered in July 2021, follows Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) at a Swedish boarding school where he is able to truly self-explore away from his royal duties and meets Simon (Omar Rudberg). Season 1 ended with a public scandal leaving Wilhelm and Simon’s relationship up in the air.
In our interview, Nikita talks about what it was like returning to film season 2 of Young Royals, and what she learned from season 1 which was her first on-screen acting role. She also discusses Felice’s character growth from season 1 and how she’s become a more independent person this season.
