Netflix today announced that the Extraction universe is expanding once again with a new spinoff film set in South Korea. The Extraction films are based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo. The new film, TYGO will follow a former child soldier turned mercenary who embarks on a revenge mission through Korea’s underworld after a mission gone wrong.
TYGO will star Don Lee (The Roundup, Train to Busan), world-renowned singer, dancer, and actress, Lalisa ‘LISA’ Manobal from the K-Pop group BLACKPINK, and Lee Jin-uk (Squid Game, Sweet Home).
Lisa made her acting debut in Season 3 of The White Lotus, and TYGO will mark her first major film role. “I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors,” Lisa tells Netflix. “Being in an action movie has always been a dream of mine, so for my film debut to be such an exciting project feels very special.”

A new Extraction series starring Omar Sy (Lupin, French Lover), Boyd Holbrook (A Complete Unknown, Narcos), and Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones, The Tudors) was announced earlier this year and will follow a mercenary navigating warring factions and ruthless killers as he works to save hostages in Libya.
