
HBO today revealed the official trailer and new photos for the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, set around 100 years before the events in Game of Thrones. The six-episode season debuts on Sunday January 18 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes will debut subsequent Sundays at the same time.

Already renewed for a second season, the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms synopsis reads, “A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”

The cast includes: Peter Claffey (Bad Sisters) as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall, Dexter Sol Ansell (The Midwich Cuckoos) as Egg, Daniel Ings (The Gentlemen) as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel (Dalgliesh) as Baelor Targaryen, Danny Webb (Pennyworth) as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Sam Spruell (Fargo) as Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas (Ladhood) as Raymun Fossoway, Finn Bennett (Warfare) as Aerion Targaryen, Edward Ashley (Masters of the Air) as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Tanzyn Crawford (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Tanselle, Henry Ashton (My Lady Jane) as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour (Home) as Steely Pate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (The Agency) as Plummer, and Daniel Monks (All Her Fault) as Ser Manfred Dondarrion.
