Last week, the seventh and final season of Young Sheldon premiered on CBS. In November 2023, it was announced that The Big Bang Theory prequel would come to an end with an hour long series finale to air on Thursday, May 16th, 2024. The main cast of Young Sheldon are all returning for the final season, and we can probably expect to see past recurring characters make appearances as we approach the finale.

Fans were upset to learn that the beloved prequel won’t have more seasons, but creator Chuck Lorre recently told The Hollywood Reporter’s TV’s Top 5 podcast there were a few reasons for this decision: “We have reached the time in the cycle of Young Sheldon where Iain Armitage is 14 years old now. He’s pushing 6 feet tall. We’ve told that story, and the remainder of his path leading up to The Big Bang Theory happens at Caltech in California. Following him from 8 to 15 seems like the natural life span of the show.”

But there is also some good news: another spin-off is in the works! Last month, Variety reported that a new series focusing on Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) is currently being worked into a deal.

While you wait for new episodes to drop weekly as we approach the finale, here are 8 movies or series to check out starring the cast of Young Sheldon.
