Netflix today released new images and an official trailer for the upcoming sci-fi action thriller ,movie, Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez (The Mother, Hustlers), Simu Liu (Barbie, Shang–Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), and Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction, This Is Us).
Atlas will premiere on Netflix May 24th, 2024.
Directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Sweet Girl) and written by Leo Sardarian (StartUp) and Aron Eli Coleite (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Locke & Key), the cast also includes Gregory James Cohan (The VelociPastor), Abraham Popoola (Extraordinary, The Curse), Lana Parrilla (The Lincoln Lawyer, Once Upon a Time), and Mark Strong (1917, Kingsman: The Secret Service).
The logline reads: “Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
