2025 was a landmark year for horror. The genre thrived across every corner, from haunting psychological thrillers and sharp-witted horror comedies to brutal, slashers.
This year took us on an emotional ride, leaving us terrified one moment, laughing the next, and even unexpectedly moved at times. Horror also received well-deserved awards recognition this year for the 83rd annual Golden Globes. The genre has grown far beyond simple jump scares.
