Prime Video today revealed first look photos from the upcoming historcal drama miniseries, The Gray House, from Executie Poducers Kevin Costner (Yellowstone, Horizon: An American Saga) and Morgan Freeman (Madam Secretary, Along Came a Spider). All 8 episodes will premiere on February 26, 2026.
The synopsis reads, “The Gray House reveals the extraordinary true story of the unsung women who helped turn the tide of the American Civil War in favor of the Union. At its center are a Virginia socialite, her indomitable mother, a formerly enslaved ally, and Richmond’s most infamous courtesan—four women operating at the heart of Confederate power. Together, they evolve their Underground Railroad operation into a daring and highly effective espionage network, risking their lives and freedom to help preserve the nation’s future and safeguard American Democracy.”
The ensemble cast is led by Mary-Louise Parker (The Institute, Weeds) and also stars Daisy Head (Shadow and Bone, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Amethyst Davis (Kindred, Kinfolk: The Series), Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders, The Revenant), Ian Duff (Judas and the Black Messiah, We Own This City), Hannah James (Mercy Street, Supergirl), Robert Knepper (Prison Break, Hitman), Christopher McDonald (Swiped, Happy Gilmore), Colin Morgan (Belfast, Merlin), Rob Morrow (Billions, Northern Exposure), Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon a Time, The Rite), Sam Trammell (True Blood, Homeland), Keith David (Hazbin Hotel, The Lowdown), and Ben Vereen (Sneaky Pete, All That Jazz).
The series will also feature original music performed by Lainey Wilson, Drake Milligan, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Killer Mike, Yolanda Adams, The War and Treaty, Larkin Poe, Scott Stapp, Adrienne Warren, and more, with original music composed by John Debney (The Greatest Showman, The Jungle Book) and Bruce Broughton (JAG, Lost in Space).
