August 2025 will see many series making their return with new seasons including Wednesday, Peacemaker, Invasion, Upload, and My Life with the Walter Boys – to name a few. But next month will also see the premiere of several new series all ranging in genres. From crime mystery to historical drama, sci-fi, and more, something will catch your eye.
Here are 9 new TV series to watch in August 2025.
Chief of War – August 1 (Apple TV+)

Synopsis: “Performed by a predominantly Polynesian cast led by Jason Momoa, Chief of War follows the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawai’i at the turn of the 18th century.”
Providence Falls – August 2 (Hallmark)

Synopsis: “Cora, a newbie police detective, is partnered with visiting detective Liam on her first case. Little does she know, Liam is her reincarnated love, here to change her fate.”
Outlander: Blood of My Blood – August 8 (Starz)
