Max today dropped a first look teaser for Season 2 of Peacemaker with John Cena (The Suicide Squad) returning. The eight-episode second season debuts on Thursday, August 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Max.
The new season of the DC Studios/Warner Bros. series follows Christopher “Chris” Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost.
Along with Cena, returning cast also include Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Jennifer Holland (The Suicide Squad), Freddie Stroma (Pitch Perfect), Steve Agee (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), and Robert Patrick (Reacher).
New cast members are Frank Grillo (Tulsa King), David Denman (Bosch: Legacy), Sol Rodriguez (Star Trek: Picard), and Tim Meadows (Mean Girls).
James Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 and directed three, including the first episode.
