Have you always seen yourself working in a creative field, particularly in content creation?
Lindsay: Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be an entertainer. In grade 6 I got a camera for Christmas, and I spent every spare moment filming sketches with my friends. As I got older, that passion grew into a dream of becoming an actor. However, no one in my family had ever pursued the arts, and it felt like a big risk to do so. I also grew up watching YouTube and always imagined having a platform of my own, with a dedicated audience who supported and resonated with my work.

At what point did horror become a central part of your content and overall brand identity?
Lindsay: During the pandemic, I started posting TikToks as well as long form YouTube videos. Out of luck, a scary story time series on TikTok took off. Before that I was posting random comedy videos, but I decided to niche down to spooky storytelling to reflect what my growing audience was into. Plus, I love a good scary story.
How do you balance being a YouTube creator and social media content creator? Do they feel like two different hats?
Lindsay: Being a YouTube creator and making content for TikTok or Instagram are two completely different worlds. At this point in my career, my main focus is creating content for YouTube. It’s my full time job and It feels so surreal to say that. I post long form videos daily on YouTube, which is my main priority, short form content comes second.

Do you think being an actor compliments your content creation?
Lindsay: For me, content creation is a creative outlet that I love to do in-between auditions, callbacks and bookings. The main goal is to be a series regular on a show or star in a big franchise.
What can we expect from Lindsay Ivan in 2026?
Lindsay: You can expect more television appearances, higher quality content, and travelling the world doing interviews. Andddd maybe there’s a spooky series in the works 😉
