A24 today revealed the official trailer for Benny Safdie‘s (The Curse, Uncut Gems) upcoming sports biopic, The Smashing Machine starring WWE superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as legendary mixed martial arts and UFC fighter Mark Kerr. Johnson is almost unrecognizable in the trailer as he transforms into Kerr.
The film also stars Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place) and MMA fighters Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten, and Oleksandr Usyk.
The Smashing Machine will arrive in theaters on Friday, October 3, 2025.
