IFC and Shudder today released a teaser trailer for the upcoming witchy cult horror, Forbidden Fruits starring Lili Reinhart (Hal & Harper, Riverdale), Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Victoria Pedretti (You, The Haunting of Hill House), and Alexandra Shipp (Barbie, X-Men: Apocalypse). It is set to be released in theaters in 2026 with the official date TBD.
The synopsis reads, “Free Eden employee Apple secretly runs a witchy femme cult in the basement of the mall store after hours – with fellow fruits Cherry and Fig. But when new hire Pumpkin challenges their performative sisterhood, the women are forced to face their own poisons or succumb to a bloody fate.”
Additional cast include social media influencer Emma Chamberlain and Gabrielle Union (Truth Be Told, Bring It On). Alloway wrote the script for Forbidden Fruits with Lily Houghton. Producers are Mason Novick (Lisa Frankenstein, Juno, Tully), Diablo Cody (Lisa Frankenstein, Jennifer’s Body, Juno), Trent Hubbard (Carolina Caroline), and Mary Anne Waterhouse (Tuner, Fear Street: Prom Queen).
