We were joined on the Popternative show by Imogen Cohen who plays Zina Zacarias in the original series The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Based on the original hit franchise, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder picks up where the original ended by following Timmy Turner’s cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner, and her new stepbrother, Roy Ragland, as they navigate life in Dimmsdale with the help of their fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo.
The series also stars Audrey Grace Marshall as Vivian “Viv” Turner; Tyler Wladis as Roy Raskin; Laura Bell Bundy as Roy’s mom, Rachel Raskin, Ryan-James Hatanaka as Viv’s dad, Ty Turner. Original voice cast Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris return to voice the iconic, and still animated, fairly godparents, Wanda and Cosmo respectively.

In our interview, Imogen tells us that she was not familiar at first with the original The Fairly OddParents, but watched it in preperation for her audition and role. “I watched a couple of episodes and I immediately realised why this show was just so iconic, and you know there’s a lot of differences between the shows, but there’s a lot of similarities,” Imogen explains between the original and new series.
