Netflix today released first look photos and the date announcement for the upcoming Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass) limited series, The Fall of the House of Usher. Based on the 1839 short story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe, the 8 episode series will premiere October 12th.

Carla Carla Gugino, who has starred in Flanagan’s other Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, told Tudum during production what we can expect from the new series: “There is a fantastical supernatural element to the story, and she is the manifestation of that. You could say she’s the executor of fate or the executor of karma.”
