Focus Features and Blumhouse today released a teaser trailer for Curry Barker’s feature breakout horror debut Obsession, following his popular found footage horror, Milk & Serial posted on YouTube in 2024. Obsession will release in theaters on May 15, 2026.
Following its celebrated midnight screening debut at TIFF, Obsession, currently holds an impressive 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. It stars Michael Johnston (Teen Wolf, Slash), Inde Navarrette (Trap House, Superman & Lois), Cooper Tomlinson (Milk & Serial), Megan Lawless (Killer Rental, The Girl from Plainville), and Andy Richter (Madagascar, Conan).
Written and directed by Curry Barker, Obsession‘s synopsis reads, “After breaking the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.”
Producers are James Harris (Teashop Productions), Haley Nicole Johnson (Under the Shell), Christian Mercuri (Capstone Pictures), and Roman Viaris.
