HBO today revealed the official trailer and release date for C.B. Strike: The Ink Black Heart, based on J.K. Rowling’s best-selling crime novel written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. This marks the sixth season of the BBC crime drama series, Strike which will premiere in the US and Canada on HBO and Max January 23. The 4-episode season first premiered on BBC One in the UK on December 16, 2024.
Tom Burke (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga) and Holliday Grainger (The Capture) return as detective duo, Strike and Robin who are hired to investigate a murder involving a creator of a cult TV cartoon and an anonymous online troll known as “Anomie.” With a complex web of online aliases, business interests and family conflicts to navigate, our heroic pair find themselves in a case that stretches them to their limit with the threat of this mysterious killer around every corner.
The cast also includes David Westhead (Bodyguard), Christian McKay (Warrior), Emma Fielding (Van der Valk), Tupele Dorgu (The Full Monty), James Nelson-Joyce (Bird), Ruth Sheen (Cyrano), Jack Greenlees (Joan), Natasha O’Keeffe (Peaky Blinders), and Caitlin Innes Edwards (Hanna).
