We were joined on the Popternative show by actor Zach Cherry (Severance, Duncanville) to discuss his return as co-host for The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday on The Roku Channel. Co-hosted with Casey Wilson (Physical, Happy Endings), season 2 of the charity competition holiday special launched on November 10th.

Six celebrity bakers put on their aprons, turn on their ovens, and fire up a holiday storm to impress judges, The Great British Baking Show‘s Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, and compete for the coveted cake stand and Star Baker crown. This season’s celebrity bakers include Arturo Castro (The Menu, Broad City), professional basketball player DeAndre Jordan, Ego Nwodim (Genie, Saturday Night Live), Heather McMahan (Love Hard, The Trap), Joel McHale (Animal Control, Community), and Phoebe Robinson (Everything’s Trash, Ibiza).

In our interview, Zach discusses returning as co-host: “I was a little more comfortable coming in, I kind of knew what to expect. But then you also have new sets of bakers, so it was also still very surprising and a totally new different experience in that way.” He also talks about the six celebrity bakers this season and their enthusiasm from the start: “They were a very jubilant bunch. I think they were the first group of contestants to sprint into the tents at full speed. These celebrities were ready to go.”
