We had the pleasure of chatting with Showrunner/Writer/Executive Producer Megan Amram about the new musical comedy series Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin which had all six of it’s episodes recently drop on Peacock.
In the new series for Peacock, several years after we last saw him in the Pitch Perfect movies, Adam Devine’s character Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes a big hit in Berlin. Filmed in Germany, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin brings all the aspects we love from the original films and more as we follow Bumper’s quest to transition from a capella amateur into bona fide superstar. It also stars Sarah Hyland (Modern Family), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place), Lera Abova (Anna), and Flula Borg (Pitch Perfect 2)
In our interview, Megan talks about the interesting opportunity of working on this series where there is familiar territory with the films but unfamiliar territory where we don’t know certain aspects of Bumper’s next journey. She also talks about what the conversations were like with Adam Devine who reprises his role as Bumper, and what was discussed in terms of developing his character years later.

Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin is streaming on Peacock.
