HBO today revealed the official trailer for the upcoming drama series, TASK, from creator Brad Ingelsby (Mare of Easttown, Echo Valley), which will premiere on Sunday, September 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. The season’s seven episodes will debut weekly.
The ensemble cast for TASK includes Mark Ruffalo (Mickey 17, Poor Things), Tom Pelphrey (Banshee, Ozark), Emilia Jones (CODA, Locke & Key), Jamie McShane (Wednesday, Bloodline), Sam Keeley (The Dry, Joe vs. Carole) Thuso Mbedu (The Woman King, Castlevania: Nocturne), Fabien Frankel (House of the Dragon, The Serpent), Alison Oliver (Saltburn, Conversations with Friends), Raúl Castillo (Smile 2, Cassandro), Silvia Dionicio (Discarded Things), Phoebe Fox (The Great, Eye in the Sky), and Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope).
The TASK logline reads, “Set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey).”
