For our first feature of 2026, we sit down with British-Canadian actor and voice artist Gregg Lowe whose work spans major film, TV, and gaming titles including X-Men: Days of Future Past, Grantchester, Jupiter’s Legacy, Assassin’s Creed, and more. Lowe can now be heard as the English voice behind Delita Heiral in Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, which launched on September 30, 2025, alongside Joe Pitts, Ben Starr, and House of the Dragon’s Emily Carey. The remake brings the legendary 1997 tactical RPG to modern platforms, reuniting original developers with new talent for longtime fans and newcomers.
The Ivalice Chronicles brings players into the medieval Kingdom of Ivalice during a time of global conflict. Designed for both longtime fans and newcomers, the classic returns with fully voiced dialogue, a revamped story, upgraded graphics, and improved features, including an updated UI and new auto-save.

Beyond being a remake of the beloved 1990s game, what sets this edition of Final Fantasy Tactics apart?
Gregg: With this edition, we have full voice over throughout the whole game. So rather than it just being the cutscenes, we have full voice over throughout all the gameplay, which really adds a new level of experience for the game. And I think that’s really coming across from what I’m hearing from fans and the reviews, people really love that aspect of it.
So there’s that, but to mention the cutscenes, we have actually revoice the cut scenes as well, but you have to choose to watch those in the game. They don’t automatically come up. And I really would implore people to watch those. We spent a lot of time on them, and the artwork is stunning and so good, and the scenes really help drive the story. You just go in a drop down menu and or menu somewhere and select to watch those and it’s just only going to enhance the experience. But that’s something I really would emphasis.
How would you describe your character, and what’s your favorite aspect of playing Delita?
Gregg: My character, Delita Heiral, is a common born who was taken under the wing of a regal family and is manipulated, and he’s used as a pawn which sends him on a particular path. He goes from being a pawn to learning the game and playing the game against everyone who has manipulated him. And he has this moment at the end of chapter one, which is heartbreaking for him, and it really sends him on a blind quest for power and revenge/slash justice for himself.
Now that the game has launched, what has fan reception been like so far?
Gregg: What I’ve seen so far, it’s all it’s been amazing. It’s been such a such a positive response to the game. We’ve got people who have played this game in the 90s, which is three decades ago, who have lived with these characters and lived with these stories. People have wanted this to be remastered and remade for a long time. And we also have people who are new to the game who are experiencing it for the first time, and that’s super exciting, and the response has been just so positive.
So far, what stands out to you most about being part of the Final Fantasy universe?
Gregg: I think it’s the people that we meet from our amazing directors who we worked with for endless hours in the booth, to the other actors that we don’t really get to work with each other in the booth, but we get to meet now and get to attend different events. Being be part of the Final Fantasy community as a whole, it’s such a welcoming community. It’s so loved. That’s one of the best parts of it, is the community around it.
