For our latest digital feature, we caught up with Erin Robinson, who joined the cast of Season 2 of the dark comedy-crime drama Your Friends & Neighbors on Apple TV. After the series premiered in April 2025, its second season arrived a year later and earned an early Season 3 renewal ahead of its debut. The sophomore season wrapped on June 5, continuing the story of Coop (Jon Hamm), a disgraced, divorced, and unemployed hedge fund manager who turns to stealing from his affluent neighbors.

What begins as a desperate attempt to preserve the illusion of his former upscale life soon turns into a dangerous, high-stakes game that exposes dark secrets and criminal undercurrents hidden beneath the lives of the wealthy. The series features an ensemble cast led by Hamm alongside Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan.

For Season 2, Erin Robinson joined the cast alongside fellow newcomer James Marsden, who stars as shipping tycoon Owen Ashe. The pair play father and daughter, with Owen and Delilah relocating to the neighborhood, where their arrival quickly adds a new layer of intrigue and tension to the story. In our feature, Erin reflects on joining the cast of Your Friends & Neighbors, the welcoming atmosphere on set, and the balance between the series’ drama and dark comedy.

What was your first day on set like joining an established cast?

Erin: My first day on set was when I finally got to meet most of the cast members. I obviously was a little nervous when first working with these established actors, but everyone, including the cast and the crew, created such a welcoming family vibe on set. I quickly knew that first day that I would have a wonderful experience working with these actors. They made me feel like I was meant to be on that set, and reassured me that I was worthy enough to work with these big actors.

What was the atmosphere like on set given the show’s mix of drama, mystery, and dark comedy?

Erin: The atmosphere was a perfect mix of caring about how the show turned out and having fun while doing so. Everyone had a very professional persona when “action” was yelled, but between takes everyone was like a family. When it came to more emotional scenes, there would be more serious moments to create the intention for that scene. At the end of the day there would always be laughs and a shared appreciation for the work that was done.

Why do you think audiences connect so strongly with flawed characters in this series?

Erin: I think it’s refreshing to see characters that aren’t perfect when watching TV. The audience can find flaws and traits that they relate to themselves from these characters, even if it’s not to the extreme of robbing people’s houses. Also, I think the show is so intriguing because of all of the crazy plot twists that are created by these complex, flawed characters. They keep the audience on their toes because you never know what to expect next from these characters.

What surprised you the most about Delilah’s journey throughout Season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbors? 

Erin: For me, I was surprised that Delilah actually found a place where she felt at home and made connections. As she hints to in the second episode, you find out that she’s been moved around by her father her whole life. I was expecting her to stay more guarded throughout the whole season because of her past. I’m happy that Delilah got to feel a sense of home towards the end of the season and create relationships.
