A24 today released the official trailer for Dicks: The Musical featuring an all-star ensemble cast including Nathan Lane (The Producers, Only Murders in the Building), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Party Down), rapper Megan Thee Stallion, Bowen Yang (Fire Island, Saturday Night Live), and introducing Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp. The film will be making it’s World Premiere as the opening night film of Midnight Madness at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, and will be released in theaters on September 29th. A24 describes it as a “riotously funny and depraved musical.”
From the producers of The Greatest Showman, directed by Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat), and written by Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp, Dicks: The Musical follows two self-obsessed businessmen (writers Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp) who discover they are long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents.
