Check out what Zak had to say.
How does it feel to have signed with Rude Records?
ZP: It feels amazing knowing a label wants to support the progression of your art; very honored to be part of a label that cares the way that they do.
What can you tell us about the style of music you play?
ZP: Modern Error is a progression of sound. We always try to stem our decisions and direction from the song’s concept or emotion, and let ourselves have that breathing space to achieve something we want. This leads to exploration in sound and noise, and a constant evaluation in what we identify as our style. Conceptually, Modern Error is an extension of its name.
How excited are you to be releasing new music?
ZP: Releasing music into the world is everything to us, in a sense it feels liberating to be putting something out. It’s been a long time since we have, and I think we have developed as people, musicians and artists. We have more to give and more to say.
When people listen to Modern Error, what are you hoping they get out of it?
ZP: There is an element of catharsis and self reflection. We have always wanted Modern Error to feel like an escape from this world, somewhere where you can make more sense of yourself or things around you. I hope it brings people an atmosphere to build their own outlet and see life clearer.
What has been the best advice someone has ever given you?
ZP: Don’t hold onto ideas, and trust yourself.
