Shudder’s latest feature documentary focuses on the powerful story of one of the most iconic heavy metal/art collective/monster band in history – GWAR. The film includes interviews with members of GWAR, both past and present, as well as other artists including Weird Al Yankovic, Thomas Lennon, Alex Winter, Bam Margera, and Ethan Embry. It also includes never before seen footage of legendary GWAR frontman Dave Brockie.
We were joined on the Popternative show by GWAR members Mike Derks and Matt Maguire where they discuss the early origins of the band, the blending of the genres of metal and punk in their music. They also talk about the hard work put in by the crew who put together an unbelievable GWAR show!
