We discuss their new music, their sound as a band, and the current state of Metal. Check it out below!
How excited are you about this new single?
We wrote a lot during the pandemic and now to finally see that work come together and get released is so exciting. “Called Out” is a step in a darker, aggressive direction that we’ve adopted.
What do you think about the current state of Metal music?
Metal in all aspects is on the rise again from the mainstream to the extreme genre bending styles. The world is in an angry place and metal is the perfect outlet to find relief from that stress and pain.
Why do you think Metal is so popular?
Metal is so cathartic. It is the music of rebellions and a voice for the outcast. This music can be an escape for anyone going through a rough time.
When people listen Concrete Dream, what are you hoping they get out of it?
We want them to experience the blend of different styles we bring to our music. We aim to hit the hip hop fans looking for the gate way drug to metal and the metal head looking to get into hip hop. I believe we pay respect to both cultures and that is big to us when people listen to our music.
How would you describe the sound of your music?
Our goal is to bring out the aggressive elements of hip hop and metal. We want hip hop/trap vibes to slam into big break downs with epic ballad hooks that all have a story and message behind them. Music that makes fans appreciate different sounds and views.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
One of our main messages is it is never too late to follow your dreams. Always do it with passion and a really dedicated mind state because it takes everything you have to reach your goals in music. It’s hard but well worth it if you’re doing it with love. We wish everyone out there doing it well.
What is your favorite song to perform live?
Right now it would be this new single “Called Out.” The bass player and I are doing duel vocals with each other and love getting into it with the crowd. Our past few shows we’ve been able to bring the feature artist Chris Tito on stage with us during the breakdown and it gets wild.
