“Hold on Me” encompasses all the feelings of new love. The inspiration behind the song stemmed from a series of brief encounters with a beautiful person, becoming a lovely memory.
Jim Kaufman is the fellow producer for these amazing tunes, while Harrington is the writer for all the songs. Here’s what Nathan had to say:
How excited are you to release new music?
It’s such a liberating feeling. To share the stories with the people and see how it connects with them is a huge part of why I do what I do.
You also act as well, what’s it like wearing many hats?
I just love all different types of art. The more hats I can wear, the more I can come to understand art more and more. Getting into acting has helped my writing ability- and getting descriptive in my writing helps me dive deeper as an actor.
When people listen to Nathan Harrington, what are you hoping they get out of it?
I hope they can feel a strong deep connection to the music, subconsciously or consciously. I hope when they walk away from a show they can take something away from it that they didn’t expect to.
What are some learning experiences for you as a musician?
Patience is the ultimate lesson and meditation I practice. It’s so easy to let your aspirations and goals corrupt clear thinking. While it’s good to have these thoughts, it’s all in divine time. And I’ve had to really learn to surrender and let it be.
