Just two days ago, Fox cancelled three of their comedies including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and fans were not happy with the decision. Twitter and Instagram users began a petition calling for the series to continue using #SaveBB99. Director Guillermo del Toro also commented on his disappointment in the decision to cancel the series
Brooklyn Nine-Nine has given us fully human characters, beautiful, powerful, flawed, vulnerable, majestic… In whichever form, B99 must return. It will. And I will be there to watch. And, it is my hope that I hope that, this time, a lot more people do too.

Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as NBC has picked up the series, as was announced earlier today by Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creator Dan Goor
Hey everyone, just wanted to say no big deal but….
NBC JUST PICKED #BROOKLYN99 UP FOR SEASON 6!!!
Thanks in no small part to you, the best fans in the history of the world!

The series received a 13-episode order from NBC for its sixth season, and chairman of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt commented: “Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home.” The fifth season will wrap up on May 20.
