We caught up with model, entrepreneur, and brain tumor survivor Victoria Vesce who shares with us her journey of resilience and the importance of sharing her experiences with others. Her social media presence is unfiltered and continues to chronicle challenges she is facing, including her recent journey in getting new hearing aids.

We asked Victoria about balancing her many roles, how her experiences have shifted her view on being an influencer, her new hearing aids, and more. Check out our conversation below.

As a brain tumor survivor, has that experience shifted the way you view yourself as an influencer? If so, in what ways?

Victoria Vesce (VV): Absolutely, facing something as big as a brain tumor changes you. It’s made me see life and my role on social media differently. Now, it’s not just about the next photo or trend; it’s about sharing stories of fighting through the tough times, of not giving up. I want to show that it’s okay to have scars, to struggle, and to still find beauty and strength in all of it. For me social media is more than just sharing hot pics, fun times, it’s about making those connections with people who need a bit of hope in their lives.

You also wear many hats from model, to grief advocate, podcast host, designer, and entrepreneur. How do you balance these roles?

VV: Juggling so many roles isn’t easy! But for me, the key is not to stress about being perfect at everything all at once. I take things one day at a time, set priorities, and remind myself it’s okay to take a break or ask for help. And honestly, coffee helps a lot too! Mixing up what I do keeps life interesting, and I love the variety—it keeps me energized and passionate.

What advice would you give to other influencers who want to use their own journeys as ways to inspire others?

VV: For other influencers looking to share their journeys, my advice is to be authentically you. Your story, with all its ups and downs, is what will resonate with people. Don’t be afraid to show the not-so-perfect parts. That’s where the real connection happens. Be honest, be kind, and use your platform to shine a light on the things that matter most to you. You never know who you’re inspiring.

You recently acquired new hearing aids. Can you tell us about this experience and how it has impacted you?

VV: Getting new hearing aids has been quite the journey. It’s a mix of emotions, really. Acknowledging the need for them was tough at first, but it’s opened up a whole new world of sounds for me. It’s about not taking the small things for granted, like the sound of rain against the window or the subtleties in someone’s voice. This journey has taught me a lot about acceptance and finding beauty in the changes life throws at us. My new hearing aids are also pretty fancy and connect via Bluetooth! Now I can talk on the phone perfectly, listen to music, without the hassle of taking them in and out!

You will soon launch your own travel consulting firm. What can you tell us about it?

VV: I wanted to share my love for exploring new places and help others experience that too, without the hassle. It’s for anyone looking to add a little more adventure into their lives, with some insider tips and tricks thrown in.

What made you want to create a consulting firm?

VV: I’ve always been passionate about helping others, and after years of navigating my own journeys—be it through health, grief, or travel—I realized I have a lot of insights to share. It’s about using my experiences to make someone else’s journey a bit smoother, a bit more joyful.
