We were joined on the Popternative show by Venezuelan author Ariana Godoy whose popular romance Wattpad webnovel, A traves de mi ventana (Through My Window in English), has been adapted to Spanish-language film on Netflix. The first film hit the streaming platform in 2022 and it was later announced that 2 more sequels were on the way. Through My Window introduced viewers to Raquel, played by Clara Galle (The Boarding School: Las Cumbres), who has a longtime crush on her neighbor, Ares, played by Julio Peña (Bia), who she constantly gazes at through her window, but never speaks to. *Spoiler alert* by the end of the first film, they become a couple.

The sequel, Through My Window: Across the Sea, drops June 23 on Netflix and will center around summer vacation after Raquel and Ares have endured a tough long distanced relationship. Returning cast also include Eric Masip (Madres. Amor y vida), Hugo Arbués (The Warning), Emilia Lazo, Natalia Azahara, and Guillermo Lasheras (Les de l’hoquei). Across the Sea will introduce new cast members played by Andrea Chaparro (Rebelde), Iván Lapadula (Dos vidas), and Carla Tous (Venus).
In our interview, Ariana discusses the world she created with her webnovel and some of the conversations she had with the cast and crew, and what to expect from the upcoming film which she says will include beautiful sceneries and lots of drama.
