We were joined on the Popternative show by Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley) and Carlos Santos (Gentefied) who star in the upcoming supernatural, horror, thriller film There’s Something Wrong with the Children. It will be released on digital and on demand on January 17 and MGM+ on March 17, and is part of the Blumhouse Television and MGM+ deal to produce eight original films together.

Directed by Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound, Body At Brighton Rock), and written by T.J. Cimfel & Dave White (Intruders), the cast also includes Alisha Wainwright (Raising Dion) and Zach Gilford (The Purge: Anarchy).

Synopsis
When Margaret (Wainwright) and Ben (Gilford) take a weekend trip with longtime friends Ellie (Crew) and Thomas (Santos) and their two young children (Guiza and Mattle), Ben begins to suspect something supernatural is occurring when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight.

In our interview, Amanda talks about what she enjoys about working in the horror genre as this is not her first spooky project. Carlos tells us that he was excited to work on this film because it was his first time working in horror as he usually works in comedy.
