Disney+ today released a teaser (below) for the highly-anticipated Doctor Who Christmas Special, “The Church on Ruby Road,” ahead of the December 25th premiere (available at 9:55 a.m. PT/12:55 p.m. ET). The Christmas Special welcomes Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education, Barbie) as The Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson (Coronation Street, Jamie Johnson) as his new companion, Ruby Sunday.
Additional cast in the special will include English television presenter Davina McCall as herself, Michelle Greenidge (After Life, Code 404) as Carla Sunday, Angela Wynter (EastEnders, Doctors) as Cherry Sunday, and Anita Dobson (The Long Call, EastEnders) as Mrs. Flood.
About the special: Long ago on Christmas Eve, a baby was abandoned in the snow. Today, Ruby Sunday meets the Doctor, stolen babies, goblins and perhaps the secret of her birth.
Earlier today, Gatwa and Gibson pushed the button to light the London Eye landmark in the colors of the iconic Doctor Who Time Vortex to celebrate the premiere.
