You are probably aware that Jim Parsons is the narrator behind The Big Bang Theory spinoff series Young Sheldon.

When the trailer for the series was released, it became apparent that the role of young Sheldon’s mother would be played by an entirely different actress, and not by Laurie Metcalf who plays Mary Cooper on The Big Bang Theory.

33 year old actress Zoe Perry plays young Sheldon’s mother in the spinoff. She is known for her roles in Scandal and The Family.

What you may not know is that Zoe Perry is the daughter of Laurie Metcalf!

This is not the first time she has shared a role with her mother; when Metcalf was on Roseanne, Perry appeared in a few episodes as young Jackie when there were flashbacks.

Young Sheldon returns on November 2nd on CBS after its highly successful series premiere on September 25th which reportedly drew in 16.6 million viewers.
