
Netflix announced today that Xolo Maridueña (Blue Beetle, Cobra Kai) has been cast to play Portgas D. Ace in Season 3 of One Piece. Season 3 was previously renewed ahead of the upcoming Season 2 premiere set for March 10, 2026. Season 3 is will begin production later this year in Cape Town, South Africa. Maridueña joins previously announced new cast member Cole Escola (Difficult People, Search Party) as Bon Clay.
In Season 2 of One Piece, Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hats are back: swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), cartographer Nami (Emily Rudd), storyteller Usopp (Jacob Romero), and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar). Together, they will set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line, a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.
