We were joined on the Popternative show by Sasha Bhasin who joins season 2 of Netflix‘s hit teen drama series, XO, Kitty, as Praveena which premiered on January 16. Anna Cathcart reprises her role as Kitty Song Covey as she transfers to the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS) in Seoul, South Korea for her junior year of high school.
Season 2 finds teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey back in Seoul for a new semester and is single for the first time in a long time. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change. As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family and love are more complicated than she ever imagined.
Returning cast also include Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Anthony Keyvan, Regan Aliyah, Peter Thurnwald, and Michael K. Lee. Along with Sasha, season 2 also introduces Audrey Huynh as Stella, and Joshua Lee as Jin.
Sasha’s character, Praveena, is a new student at KISS and a potential new romantic interest for Kitty who is starting to explore her identity.
“It’s insane to be added to a cast of a show that has such a strong fanbase an that people are so passionate about,” Sasha tells us.
