We were joined back on the Popternative show by Anthony Keyvan to discuss the second season of the Netflix drama series, XO, Kitty, which debuted on January 16.
Season 2 finds teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) back in Seoul for a new semester and is single for the first time in a long time. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change. As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family and love are more complicated than she ever imagined.
Returning cast also include Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Regan Aliyah, Jocelyn Shelfo, Peter Thurnwald, and Michael K. Lee. Season 2 also introduces Audrey Huynh as Stella, Sasha Bhasin as Praveena, and Joshua Lee as Jin.

On returning for season 2 as Quincy ‘Q’ Shabazian, Anthony says, “We’re all still learning everything about our characters. We never know where our characters are going to go until we’re actually there filming. Season one was definitely more challenging in ways, there were a lot of different factors, it being my first time in Korea, and for a lot of our cast it was a lot of their first time acting on a television set. With season two, everybody felt a lot more comfortable, we felt more in tune with each other and our characters, and it all just made for a low pressure environment and that translates on screen, it looks like were having a lot more fun I think.”
