After nearly three years, Wednesday is finally back with its second season. Season 2 is split into two parts with Part 1 now streaming, and Part 2 on September 3 on Netflix. We were joined back on the Popternative show by Emma Myers to discuss what fans can expect from the new season, and from Enid Sinclair in particular.

Season 2 finds Wednesday back at Nevermore Academy and this time, her family joins her. A new mystery awaits Wednesday to solve with the help of her friends, including roomie and BFF, Enid.

Alongside Jenna Ortega as the titular role as Wednesday, Season 2’s series regulars also include Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, and Hunter Doohan. Guest stars are Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, and Frances O’Connor.

“After the events of season one where Enid wolfs out, she sort of found herself, her confidence, her voice, and so over the course of the summer, she finds a wolf pack that she joins. [She is also] trying to be dance captain and has all this stuff going for her. She’s had a sort of evolution over the summer that just lends itself to her character and her confidence and her ability to just be herself,” Emma says.
