Disney today released the first trailer for TRON: Ares, the highly anticipated third installment in the TRON franchise. TRON: Ares is a follow-up to Disney’s 1982 seminal science fiction film, TRON and the 2010 sequel, TRON: Legacy. The trailer was first shared with audiences at CinemaCon 2025.
TRON: Ares will premiere in theaters on October 10, and follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.
Directed by Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), it stars Jared Leto (Suicide Squad), Greta Lee (Past Lives), Evan Peters (American Horror Story), Hasan Minhaj (It Ends With Us), Jodie Turner-Smith (After Yang), Arturo Castro (Broad City), Cameron Monaghan (Shameless), Gillian Anderson (The Fall), and Jeff Bridges (TRON: Legacy).
