Popternative is excited to share an exclusive clip from the newest episode (#102) of Apple TV+‘s French-language drama series Carême, starring Benjamin Voisin (Summer of 85, Lost Illusions) as the world’s first celebrity chef, Antonin Carême.

The clip (watch below) features a high-tension moment where Agathe (played by Alice Da Luz, Dancing the Twist in Bamako, Hanami) asserts herself as sous chef, laying down the ground rules for Antonin Carême (Benjamin Voisin).

Carême made its global debut on Apple TV+ on April 30, and one episode will drop every Wednesday through June 11.

Carême is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Martin Bourboulon (Eiffel, Les Trois Mousquetaires: D’Artagnan) and also stars Jérémie Renier (My Way, In Bruges) and Lyna Khoudri (Papicha, The French Dispatch).

The series follows the thrilling story of the world’s first celebrity chef, Antonin Carême, who rose from humble beginnings in Paris to the height of culinary stardom in Napoleon’s Europe. While he dreams only of becoming the most famous chef in the world, his talent and ambitions attract the attention of renowned and powerful politicians, who use him as a spy for France.

Based on the book Cooking for Kings: The Life of Antonin Carême, the First Celebrity Chef by multi-award-winning historian and playwright Ian Kelly (The King’s Man), the series is created by Kelly and Davide Serino (The Bad Guy).
